Teaching Again!
So 2020 was something wasn’t it? And 2021 is already acting up. But here we are.
While I’ve been lucky to coach improv teams online during the pandemic, I haven’t taught a regular class or workshop in a while. Aside from coaching, I spent much of 2020 in the student seat.
Losing the opportunity to travel, teach and connect with folks in person was such a shock. And it’s one that we’ve all dealt with in so many different ways.
I couldn’t handle not staying connected to others in some way. Online improv has been such a gift! And it felt best to take a moment from teaching and join others in classes and jams. And while I’ll never stop learning and being a student, I’m excited to run workshops again.
I’ll be doing one of my favorite workshops Have Fun With Anyone, which I’ve taught for Improv Fest Ireland and Cornerstone Improv in San Diego, CA.
In this online workshop we play with dealing with the stuck feelings we get from perceived poor initiations or scene choices. And how we can flip our perspectives and make the best of it.
Since many of us are now improvising virtually, we’ll also play with having fun in spite of annoying tech moments.
The online workshop is Sat, January 30, 2021: 11am-1:30pm PST. See link below for details.
